How This Site Works
Utah Valley Foam is an independent information and referral website. We publish researched information about insulation materials, costs, Utah energy code and rebate programs. We do not perform insulation work and we are not an insulation contractor. When you call, we pass your request to an independent insulation provider that serves your area, when one is available.
Independent providers are not employees of Utah Valley Foam, and we do not vet, screen, qualify or certify them. Each provider is responsible for its own licensing, insurance, qualifications, pricing, scope of work, warranties and compliance with applicable requirements. Verify those details yourself before hiring anyone.
Homeowners are never charged by Utah Valley Foam. A participating provider pays a fixed monthly fee to use the site. Contacting us does not guarantee that a provider is available or that you will receive a response.
Why Insulation Only
Insulation is usually a side service for general contractors and HVAC companies, which is why so much of it gets installed badly. Gaps around can lights, compressed batts, rim joists skipped entirely. The rim joist is the band of wood where your floor framing sits on top of the foundation, and it is the assembly most commonly skipped in this trade. One focus: insulation. Spray foam application is chemistry and technique, and doing it every day is the only way to get consistently clean results.
How Quotes Work
Straight numbers, line by line. If old insulation needs removal, that is its own line. If closed cell costs more than the job needs and open cell will do, we say so.
